Walton Casuals Juniors U9 Leopards 7  – Mole Valley U9 1

Todays rain didn’t stop the U9 Leopards game today.

A strong team of Leopards arrived at the King George playing fields. The conditions were very wet and muddy but the girls still were in high spirits.

A decision was made by myself and the Mole Valley manager to play 7 a-side with two 15 minute games so the girls wouldn’t have to sit out in the rain.

The first half we played Izzie in goal, with Daisy striker, Kitty and Molly left and right mid field, Poppy, Ellie & Charlotte in Defence ( Eva sub).

The first half the rain was really heavy and it started slow but after 5 minutes the pace picked up with Kitty scoring the first Leopards goal. After 8 minutes we brought on Eva who set the pace fast with her confidence and skills. Daisy went on to score another few goals with the help of the great tackling by Molly and defence by Poppy and Charlotte.

With a few minutes to spare we gained another goal with Kitty speeding up pitch to out run the Mole Valley girls and a cheeky goal went in.

With the new FA rule and the score being 5-1 we ended up bringing off a player to finish the first half.

The second half with one less player the girls really worked well with Daisy and Kitty passing well mid field and Eva with her calm ball control keeping the ball in the Leopards possession. The Mole Valley girls picked up the pace a little but Ellie and Poppy were there ready for them with some help from Charlotte on the left. The Mole valley girls managed to secure a goal with 5 minutes to go which was completely deserved.

Another was nearly in the net for the Mole Valley Girls but Izzie L was right there with confidence ready to save.

After great playing by all, the Leopards team had a much deserved 7-1 win in the bag and the girls walked away excited for the next match.

Thanks to Mole Valley U9 manager for hosting.
