In what became a nail biter of a thriller a resolute and strong Panthers team powered home to win 4-3 in the dying minutes.
Chipstead started with real pace and energy and were on top for the first 20 minutes, passing the ball around well but not using their possession to punish Panthers slow start.
Panthers then started to come into the game as they started to press higher and move the ball around.
The breakthrough came in the 24th minute when Panthers won a free kick just outside the box. William stepped up and sent it into the top left corner 1-0.
Panthers were spurred on by this and started to play some nice football.
Within a few minutes of the restart Panthers scored again with Ryan’s second of the match.
To the boys credit they were committed and their will to win kept them going to the end. With five minutes to go William – who had been punishing their left back all game – beat his defender and smashed the ball into the net 4-3.
