Panthers Through to next round of County Cup

Panthers took on a team from Tooting in the County Cup that they knew little about apart from the fact that like Panthers they were unbeaten this season.

Panthers had a near full squad and having the 4 subs was beneficial to keeping the 11 on the pitch fresh. Having secured victories in the last 2 weeks without Leo shows the togetherness of the team, but it was good to have him back between the sticks!

The first 10 minutes was a close battle as both teams sussed each other out but the deadlock was broken 1-0

The lead was doubled 3 minutes later and the match looked over when Panthers scored their third.

Panthers looked in complete control and should have extended their lead but were then undone with a some complacency in midfield losing the ball and then a slight lack of ownership in defence allowing the striker to nip in and score.

Half Time: Panthers 3-1 FC United Gold

The majority of this half was one way traffic, where Panthers really should have extended their lead with a total of 5 one on ones that were not taken, plus a few corners that were met well but not converted.
