With Panthers County Cup game cancelled they play a friendly against Farncombe.

With Panthers County Cup game cancelled due to their opponents forfeiting, they managed to arrange a friendly against Farncombe.

Panthers lined up in their familiar 4-2-3-1 formation but Jake C being a last minute absentee, Devon started the match in an unfamiliar CB role

Panthers took the lead when Joe sent a pass down the line for William to latch onto and burst into the box to strike across the keeper

Farncombe were a very well drilled team and had the size and pace to match Panthers over much of the pitch

On the 20 minute mark, Panthers doubled the lead when Tate sent in a 20 yard thunderbolt that saw the Keeper grabbing thin air

However, shortly afterwards Farncombe pulled one back when a speculative shot was parried by Leo, but no Panther tracked the follow up and the Farncombe striker had an easy tap in

Half Time: Panthers 3-1 Farncombe

For the second half Panthers made a few more changes to give some others a rest from the sun and the big pitch

5 minutes into the half Panthers were awarded a penalty when Ryan was knocked over from behind. We have had 2 penalties already this season and neither was scored, and it looked like it was going to be a third miss when Ollie saw his kick saved, but William was following in to score the rebound.

Ryan tucked in Panthers 5th latching on to the rebound when George’s great run and shot was saved

A number of shots saw a Farncombe defender unfortunately deflect one past his own keeper for Panthers 6th of the match

The final goal was deservedly given to George when another powerful run ended with his shot just deceiving the Farncombe keeper

Full Time: Panthers 7-1 Farncombe
